We like collars a lot. In Moebius’ case it’s almost a fetish. Collars are a symbol. To kinky people collars can signify “I think collars make me sexy” to “You are my slave every hour of every day” and anywhere in between.

In our case it means that we think they’re sexy and that I am the submissive one in our relationship. It is a symbol of my belonging to Moebius. Nothing expresses that notion better than the type of collar you can quite literally lock in place.

Recently we had a very sad setback. You may have noticed that I wear this collar a lot. It is probably my favorite everyday collar. It’s pretty and comfortable yet still the right amount of strange to turn heads in the grocery store.

Unfortunately, sometime recently after we moved the one remaining key to our favorite padlock was lost in the chaos. We had no other option but to attack it with the bolt cutters:




We have been searching for a replacement ever since. We’ve found the same padlock in brass (which, let's face it, doesn't really cut it) but we haven’t been able to find the nickel plated version anywhere.

(As an aside, I wonder how many maledom couples over the years have been tickled pink by the fact one of the biggest padlock manufacturers out there stamps their locks "Master"?)

In the meantime we've been stuck using these:




The one on the left is the craptastic padlock that comes free with kinky toys that lock. I think every toy enthusiast has about a dozen of these. They look okay, but you can pick them with a hairpin. If the lock isn't secure it really ruins the fun.

The padlocks on the right were a christmastime splurge. The vomit inducing, cutsey pinkness matched my pink wrist and ankle cuffs perfectly.We bought loads of them thinking we'd never run out, but as you can see the paint doesn't hold up to everyday wear. They look and feel like they came out of a bubblegum machine. If I stepped on one it would probably explode.

We really need a replacment. We have found a few that are interesting and a few that are cute. You'd think I'd love a piggy shaped padlock, but it's just not quite right.

If anyone knows where we can find an exact copy of the one we just killed we will trade dirty pictures for a link.

I do understand a bit...we lost the keys to my first ever collar, and had to mess it up to get it off. It was quite sad :(
